The story behind ...
I have been interested in the world of beauty and make-up for as long as I can remember. Even when I was quite young, my family and friends would ask me to help them to ‘look good’ for special occasions; and I was always happy to oblige!
My Polish heritage and family values are very important to me, but in 2008 I moved to the UK to start an exciting new phase in my life. In order to achieve my ambition of working in the beauty industry, I enrolled on a two-year course at Suffolk New College and became a fully qualified Beauty Therapist, gaining NVQ levels 2 and 3 in my subject.
In 2012 I fulfilled my dream of having my own business and ‘Aleksandra Zych Make-up & Beauty’ arrived on the scene.
I am a fully independent, freelance, Make-up Artist and specialise in Wedding and Special Occasion work. My aim is to provide a professional service for clients on their special day; and it is rewarding to know that I have assisted them in achieving this. My favourite cosmetic brands include Airbase, Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Charlotte Tilbury, Dior, Huda Beauty and Mac. I offer a variety of products so that I can help my clients to choose something special and appropriate for their own requirements.
From time to time, I am invited to take part in projects such as photo-shoots and fashion shows, and am able to support and promote Wedding venues and associated suppliers and photographers. In last few years I was asked to help out at London Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week. This provided me with an insight into the world of commercial make-up world, which I found extremely interesting.
For the moment I endeavour to offer a professional, friendly and reliable service, which is unique and ‘tailor-made’. I am looking forward to meeting new and existing clients in the forthcoming months and would like to thank everyone who has supported me in my new business.
